1) My mum recently met a guy over Facebook, whom she instantly got in a relationship with. It has been two months and they are now engaged. I have tried to get along with the man but he keeps making remarks about my weight (I'm a size 12, I dance for an hour a day and hardly eat junk food, My hips are quite wide, and my boobs are quite big, which apparently contribute to my size, as told by my doctor) and also the Young, Dumb and Living Off Mum advert aired on TV and he said the show title and looked at me. I'm 15, A*-C grade student and have been looking for little jobs but people hardly hire 15 year olds around me and paper routes and everything all have a long waiting list. I hardly ever ask for money off my mum and when I do it's usually for something I really need, like uniform or something that I can't afford. I emailed him about the situation, and how I was feeling, quite nicely and stuff, and he emailed me back four quite angry messages and then when I didn't reply within 24 hours he replied "No Reply!! What a surprise!! LMFAO". He posts things such as ''Nailed her hard again'' talking about sex obviously. Which I find quite disgusting. I told my mum about how I felt and she went in a huge mood, told me he was being nice to me and refused to accept that I was really unhappy. We were on the motorway the other day and she was in the third lane driving about 80mph, I get really panicky about driving fast because I witnessed my best friends mum in a car accident that wasn't her fault and she died. I asked her to go slower and she went in a mood and drove 90mph. She just broke up with him because I said that she always took his side and now I feel really guilty, she refuses to speak to me and I know not being with him makes her unhappy. I tried being nice to him, but I really didn't like his personality. What should I do ? I don't mind her being with him but he needs to change the way he treats me as it is really breaking my confidence and stuff, which is already a problem. I've dealt with worse boyfriends (of my mums) than him, ones that have thrown bottles at my then just out of hospital newborn baby brother and my mum and me. What I should I do? 2) This one isn't so dramatic ;) My friend wants me to go to a concert that my sister has said she will take me / pick me up. It's a Bowling For Soup concert with the Dollyrots and "A", I haven't heard any of these bands except for BFS, which I didn't really like (I prefer old rock, The Runaways, Ramones, Joan Jett...) but I'm still interested in going because of the Dollyrots who are on Joan Jetts record label. I've only been to one concert in my life which was Wembley - Joan Jett / Green Day. My friend wants to stay until 4am the next morning to meet the band, but my sister has work the next day and would have to drop us all of at 3 different towns, all 20-1hr25mins away, we'll pay her for petrol but I don't think its fair on her. I don't really like the music either, it's £17/£18. Is it worth going? I know my friend will be disappointed if I don't go.... Read More »
